Help & Hope for YOUth is a collective impact initiative started by the National Alliance on Mental Illness Southern Arizona (NAMI SA). NAMI SA commissioned the University of Arizona Southwest Institute for Research on Women (SIROW) to conduct an assessment in 2017 to determine the community readiness to address stigma and youth mental health. Based on the results of the assessment, NAMI SA formed and began convening the Help & Hope for YOUth Alliance. During the first three years of this project, we recieved funding from AHCCCS through a Mental Health Block Grant.
In 2020, with the goal of expanding statewide, Help and Hope for YOUth joined with Arizona Youth Partnership, a statewide nonprofit with a focus on prevention and youth development. As of January 1, 2021, Help and Hope for YOUth became an initiative of Arizona Youth Partnership.
